Ticket changes at Bumbershoot 2010
You spoke and we listened! Every year fans have suggestions on ways to improve Bumbershoot and the overall Festival experience. Many great changes and additions to Bumbershoot are a direct result of these ideas, like the fan-favorite Comedy Pass. Thanks to your feedback, changes coming to this year’s Bumbershoot include:
- Standard Bumbershoot Tickets now guarantee Mainstage access. The Bumbershoot Mainstage has a set capacity, which means only a limited number of these tickets can be sold. Buy early to get yours before they are gone!
- We are introducing the Bumbershoot Economy Ticket (affectionately dubbed “Bumbershoot Lite”) for attendees who want to see everything at Bumbershoot except the Mainstage, and save some cash in the process.
- We're providing opportunity for even MORE kids to receive free admission to the Festival, making Bumbershoot more affordable for young families. Now all kids 10 and under get in free! (Free kids admission does not include Mainstage access.)

Really Interesting Facts
(AKA: The stuff you oughta know before you buy your ticket, so you can avoid confusion and embarrassment later. Nobody likes to be embarrassed.)
- Bumbershoot no longer offers free Mainstage passes at the Festival. Entrance into the Mainstage requires a Bumbershoot Standard Ticket or a purchased Mainstage Upgrade. Read more about Mainstage access.
- Bumbershoot Economy Tickets do not allow access to the Mainstage. If you buy Economy and decide later you want to go to the Mainstage, you may be able to purchase a Mainstage Upgrade on-site, if still available. Read more about Mainstage access.
- Mainstage Upgrades may be purchased onsite for that day’s Mainstage show, if still available. Remember, the Mainstage has a limited capacity, and has the potential to sell out in advance of Bumbershoot.
- Please study the Festival day-specific schedules carefully before purchasing day-specific tickets. Please check your tickets carefully before leaving home; tickets for the incorrect day will not be accepted.
- All events are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice. There are NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES, even in the event of an artist cancellation.
- Early arrival is recommended to secure a spot in the audience, but is never guaranteed. All indoor performance spaces have limited capacity, and tickets do not guarantee entry into every indoor performance.
- Online ticket orders include an Online Service Fee (per ticket) and Handling Fee (per order). Carbon Offsets and Send a Kid donations are not subject to these fees.
- Comedy passes are not required, but recommended to secure a seat in one of the comedy performances. A limited quantity of free comedy passes are available each day at the Comedy Pass Distribution booth. One Comedy pass will be available per person/ticket, per day, while supplies last. BumberFan Exclusive 3-Day Pass – SOLD OUT
Only BumberFans have access to a limited number of 3-Day pass, including guaranteed access to all three days’ Mainstage shows, at the unbeatable price of $110 (over 25% off the gate price). This is the only 3-Day pass available in 2010 (other than Platinum and Gold Passes), and to get in on it, you should act fast! The offer is not available to the public, and is extremely limited.

*Festival Gate Pricing
Bumbershoot Standard Tickets, if available, will be sold at Festival gates for $50/day. Economy Tickets will be sold at Festival gates for $30/day. Economy Ticket holders who would like to attend that day’s Mainstage show may be able to purchase a Mainstage Upgrade onsite, if still available, for $30/day.
Kids
Accompanied children 10 and under do not need a ticket to enjoy 99% of Bumbershoot; however, every person entering the Mainstage requires a ticket, regardless of age. If you would like to take your child into the Mainstage, you may purchase a Mainstage Upgrade onsite during the Festival, as available. Please note, the Mainstage has a limited capacity, and has the potential to sell out in advance of Bumbershoot. All children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Seniors & Patrons with Disabilities
We no longer offer discounted tickets for seniors or patrons with permanent disabilities, but we believe everyone will find the single-day Economy Ticket an unbeatable deal at just $22 in advance or $30 at Festival gates.
