Bumbershoot

Under the Umbrella

The Bumbershoot podcast is co-hosted by Bumbershoot Programming Director Chris Porter and Seattle’s legendary radio personality Marco Collins. Every month, North America’s largest music and arts festival brings you interviews with Festival artists, insights into programming the most diverse lineup in the universe, and behind-the-scenes stories from the producers that make it all happen. We will also occasionally feature live recordings direct from the Festival and beyond.

In ’89 it was Sir Mix-a-Lot, and in ’06 it was Macklemore—two Seattle hip hop artists that played Bumbershoot long before they were household names. The tradition continues this year, with a phenomenal (if we do say so ourselves) local hip hop lineup. In this episode, we talk to Sol, Grynch, and Nacho Picasso about their upcoming Bumbershoot appearances.
