Getting Around
Where can I get information and help?
There will be multiple information booth locations on the grounds to serve you. Info booths will be located at:
- Across from the northwest corner of the International Fountain Lawn
- Inside Center House, across from the Center House Bistro
- On the south end of the Fun Forest Pavilion, across from the IMAX Dome
During the Festival, you can also ask questions at our Virtual Information Booth on Twitter. Just tweet your question to @bumbershoot.
What services are available for patrons with disabilities?
Bumbershoot works hard each year to make the annual Labor Day arts extravaganza accessible to everyone. It is our goal to offer an enjoyable experience with the fewest barriers at every venue and plan for those needing special accommodations.
Visit our Accessibility page for more details on what services will be available at this year’s Festival.
Are wheelchairs available?
A very limited number of wheelchairs are available for loan at the Festival and can be obtained at the information booth inside the Center House. You must complete a form and present valid photo identification, which will be held until the wheelchair is returned. If wheelchairs are in high demand you may be requested to limit use to a period of 2 hours.
For information about wheelchair accessibility to the Bumbershoot venues, please email access (at) onereel.org.
Where can I find an ATM?
There are several ATMs located onsite at the Seattle Center during Bumbershoot. Check out our 2012 map coming later this sumer.
Where can I get something to eat or drink?
Bumbershoot includes a variety of food and beverage vendors featuring cuisine from around the world. Check back this summer for a list of all vendors appearing at this year’s Festival.
You can also visit the Bumbershoot beer gardens, which feature a variety of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages for sale. You must be 21+ and have proper valid ID to enter the beer gardens.
Where can I get free water?
Water fountains can be found all over Seattle Center, especially at indoor venues. Here are a few easily accessible locations:
- restrooms on the Key Roadway across from the west side of Fisher Green
- inside the Fisher Pavilion (east and west ends, near restrooms)
- inside the Seattle Center Pavilion lobby, near restrooms
- inside the Center House (north hallway, all levels, near restrooms)
- at the southwest corner of the Fountain Lawn (across from KeyArena)
- near the restrooms underneath the Alki Room (across from the northwest corner of the Fountain Lawn)
- across from the NW corner of the International Fountain lawn, facing the beer garden
Additional free water stations can be found under a tent across from the NW corner of the International Fountain lawn, facing the beer garden (please provide your own container).
At these stations please fill your reusable, non-disposable water bottle (such as CamelBak, Nalgene, Klean Kanteen, Sigg, or other styles) at no charge.

Where can I report or recover a lost item?
A central Lost & Found is located at the Seattle Center Customer Service Office, located on the 3rd floor, north balcony, in the Center House.
After Bumbershoot, e-mail Seattle Center at SCLostandFound (at) seattle.gov to report your lost items.
Where should I turn in a found item?
If you find an item that is possibly lost, please turn it in at the nearest information booth. Bumbershoot staff will make sure it gets to the Seattle Center Customer Service Office, located on the 3rd floor, north balcony, in the Center House.
Will any artists be signing autographs?
Yes! You can meet some of your favorite artists at f.y.e. booths (located near music stages) throughout the Festival weekend. Available artists will sign merchandise at these locations, following their performances. Each f.y.e. booth will post its daily schedule of participating artist signings for that day.
Stay tuned for information on signings from artists and authors appearing at the Literary Arts programs in the Leo K. and Bagley Wright Theatres.
