In this Bumbershoot-themed Music That Matters podcast, Kevin Cole reminisces about the Bumbershoot Music Lounge with highlights from last year’s KEXP live broadcast, and looks ahead to this year’s great lineup. In a secret venue in the heart of the Festival grounds, we’ll present another great Music Lounge lineup featuring bands like !!!, Sons and Daughters, Thao with the Get Down Stay Down, and the Old 97’s. Bumbershoot has a new scheduling system, where BumberFans can sign in, browse the Festival schedule, and pick and choose artists to make their own personalized schedule online. I was playing with it, and it’s so nifty, I decided to try plotting out my own schedule (instead of wingin’ it like I have before). This week, I’ll be bringing you each day of my Bumbershoot schedule, starting with Saturday. This is where I’ll be (if I’m not too busy working during the Festival):

The Walkmen returned to the Daytrotter studios for their second session, this time to record four unreleased tracks, including the Neil Hagerty cover “Yellow Kid.”
