The ninth annual Sound Off! competition – the EMP|SFM battle of the bands – kicks off this Saturday night at 8pm. The winner of Sound Off! takes home a killer prize package with tons of gear, studio time and… a performance slot at Bumbershoot 2010!

Check out this year’s roster of bands and show up to root for your favorites. The winners of each weekly, semifinal battle move on to the Finals to compete for the crown. Concerts run weekly, every Saturday night, leading up to the Finals on March 6th.

The list of Sound Off! bands to go on and play Bumbershoot includes Schoolyard Heroes, New Faces, The Lonely Forest, Dyme Def, The Lonely H, and Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head. Don’t miss your chance to catch the next wave of young, local talent as they crack into the scene.
