Fun Fact: Not only has Bumbershoot been around for more years than Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Sasquatch! combined, we’re also a non-profit!
For one day each year, the Seattle Foundation spotlights local organizations that make Seattle the best city (in our humble, biased opinion) with GiveBIG, an all day, online charitable giving event for non-profits like Bumbershoot! On the BIG day (May 6th) each contribution made by individuals up to $25,000 will be graciously stretched by the Seattle Foundation.
We’re asking for your support on May 6th to help us continue our Send A Kid program, where we donate Bumbershoot tickets to underserved children and their families. Last year, we partnered with ArtCorps, Umoja, Art with Heart, and Community for Youth to donate $65,000 in tickets (about 1,000 tickets total) to kids and their families so they could experience and enjoy all the music, art, film, comedy, and theatre at Bumbershoot. Our goal this year is to donate $100,000 worth of tickets—almost 1,500 Bumbershoot day passes—back to our community.
In appreciation of your support, we have some exclusive opportunities for our Bumbershoot faithful who donate May 6th.
