We’ve partnered with the Seattle Children’s Museum to bring you two Youngershoot preview events, each featuring a different family-friendly Bumbershoot artist. Head to the Museum on the last Saturday of each month leading up to the Festival, enjoy the special edition Bumbershoot/Youngershoot performance and accompanying hands-on activity, spin the Bumbershoot prize wheel to win everything from a temporary tattoo to a Youngershoot t-shirt, and meet the artist afterwards. Then, the Museum is yours to explore. All performances begin at 11:00am, and regular Museum admission applies ($8.25 for adults and children).
June 29: Owl & Pussycat
Audience participation for the little ones plus a pea-green sailboat promise hilarity. See Owl & Pussycat on June 29 at the Children’s Museum, and on Saturday and Monday at Bumbershoot (August 31 and September 2).
July 27: Mark Pickerel
Mark’s performance is literally kid-approved as his five-year-old daughter Hazel regularly puts dad’s entertainment skills to the test. With guitar in hand, Mark will lead the group in songs both new and old, and dancing along is always allowed. Mark Pickerel performs at the Children’s Museum on July 27, and see him at Bumbershoot on Monday, September 2.
