  1. Really? That’s it? Don’t get me wrong, there’s some sweet artists playing, but it’s still the most disappointing lineup I’ve seen at Bumbershoot, and I’ve been going for the last 15 years…

    • I’ve always been surprised by the Bumbershoot line-up. This will be my 5th one. The music is kinda weak but it makes it easy which day to choose since we bought any day pass. I really hoping they drop some exciting additions later. I expect 3 music headliners to come, some serious comedians, and some of the usual Bumbershoot quality amazing performance art.

  3. Emancipator should be much closer to the top. I agree that the line-up is rather disappointing, but there’s def a few gems in there…

  4. Wow, there are some great acts but this is not at all what we have come to expect of Bumbershoot. I understand cutbacks but there is not a single artist on the whole lineup who is up to headlining a festival. I really wish I wouldn’t have bought my 3 day pass now.

    • I disagree. Reverend Horton Heat could easily headline this, long with PUSA at least two good headlining bands.

  5. Even at the $29 rate I feel I’ve been robbed. I mean wtf? Where is the talent? Just a bunch of has-beens. It’s gonna be tough to sell these lame tickets and make half my cash back. Sucks!

  6. WOW! I think this is a great line up, feels like an earlier Bumbershoot, not chock full of big headliners but a mass of new and old innovative bands. Sat-Sun look best…Its been years, but definitely going now.

    • Kelly get a real music taste and stop gloating about Bumbershoot when it really is going to suck this year

      • Whatev, bra. But ? ya gotta be skeezin on my flava? I mean Butthole Surfers lay down hella live loud, and Hall & Oats makes me float, Red Fang does their metal thang. While you’re in yer hipster despair, seek’n out the budweiser club skizz, I’ll be on candy mountain hollerin and hoot’n.

  7. Did people who organize this event stopped trying? First we raised the price for “main stage” and now there’s nothing even main stage worthy… get your act together :(

  9. Who are these people? First time I bought three day passes on faith in the lineup and am extremely disappointed. Hopefully I can sell these things.

  10. I don’t see anything amazing…would be fun to see the butthole surfers and anti flag…more imporantly might be some great comedy to be announced…or most most importantly…the potential for bumberhoot after dark…

anyone complaining about being able to get rid of your tickets..trust me you will be able to as there’s ALWAYS someone who wants to see someone and didn’t get their tickets when they were cheap…you might not turn a profit on selling them BUT that shouldn’t be what’ it’s about if you’re not going to go anyway

  11. I dig Reverend Horton Heat but when was the last time they put out a record that sold? I dig Hall & Oats but when was the last time they were relevant outside a nostalgic tour? I’m also a Gen Xer so I totally get POTUSA but I haven’t heard anything great from them since around 1996! This menagerie of talent is nothing but a hodge podge of stale undercard bands seen on every single other tour this summer (Minus The Bear, Fitz and the Tantrums, has been artists (Hall and Oates, POTUSA) and total snooze-a-thons (Ray LaMontagne, Carbon Leaf and so many others. At the very leat the people at OneReel could have said upfront that they were going a different direction and that they would be avoiding any artist with any capability to build up a buzz or get people remotely interested. I forsee a very bad future for Bumbershoot in which you have a all time attendance flop due to generating a total lack of interest from the paying public.

  12. I think it’s a fantastic idea, there seems to be more local headliners and I fully support that decision.

  13. This is a rip off. There are no real headliners and whoever picked the lineup needs to be fired. Seattle has a great music scene, but that is why there are smaller stages. Get some real bands.

  15. Ive never heard of one of these acts, im 17 and from the east side of the state, but still, seriously? My family, friends, and I have been waiting since last years sad line up for this years hoping for another big name weekend only to be disappointed again. My first time was two years ago and it was awesome! Katy Perry, All American Rejects, Sheryl Crow, Jason Mraz, Michael Franti and Spearhead, and the BLACK EYED PEAS! I mean seriously, I got to have Katy Perry right above me and kiss the girl next to me, i almost got a drum stick from Sheryl Crow’s drummer, and got to crowd surf out of the mosh at the Black Eyed Peas while in the heart of the Sounders stadium!!!!! I had never had so much fun at a concert or in Seattle for that fact, and that’s from visiting there for the past 17 years. After that, my whole family and my friends wanted to make this an annual labor day weekend trip, but so far, all we have gone to, or even wanted to, was that one year :( and looks like it isn’t going to happen again this year either. I don’t get it? Are you trying to make this a small event instead of that huge event I got to experience two year ago and keep anybody under 40 from going? Cause I mean its kind of sad when your headliners go from Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry and Jason Mraz to Bob Dylan and then to this year, with well… having a bunch of nobodies (no offense to them). Seriously though; not one person I know has heard of these people. Very disappointed, even more so, since you even were asking people after last years who they wanted to see this year, and it’s like nobody listened over there :(
Come on Bumbershoot! Get me and my family and friends back over there next year for a crazy fun filled weekend with some more big time Grammy winning bands again!

  16. Sorry for the double post, but you guys should learn a thing or two from Summerfest in Wisonsin, not to that magnitude, but look at their line up.

  17. Are you listening ReelOne? Are you hearing how bored people are with this terrible lineup? In case you aren’t getting the message: THIS LINEUP SUCKS!!!

  18. I can’t begin to express my disappointment! There are at least 3-4 good/interesting artists on each day but the rest is a whole lot of filler. This is a big letdown. The main acts don’t need to be huge pop acts but at least worthwhile acts. No disrespect to bands like Hall and Oats and PUSA but neither has released a single in at least a decade, they are great but we need relevant and fresh artist to lead this festival. The lineup should be filled with what’s listed as main acts and the main acts should be something altogether different. I am still going to go because I love you bumbershoot, but this lineup is terrible.

  19. Gotta say… I was getting pretty stoked with the daily announcements thinking you’d be announcing the big headliners on June 1st. I was severely disappointed when those already announced were the main acts. This was going to be my first year going since moving here and I was going to have people come from the midwest to go. We’ve scrapped all plans of going at this point. Maybe a day pass if we can score some cheap from someone who just wants to ditch them (which sounds plausible). Otherwise, just, no.

  20. Worst headlining lineup ever…….good bait and switch tactic by the organizers. If they don’t act quickly and add some headliners this could be an extremely bad year for Bumbershoot (and possibly last)
