So, I can’t tell based on this – is there no daytime mainstage. If there is, do I still need a mainstage pass to go see those artists (you never had to before)

@Coren, no daytime Mainstage this year. Instead it’s one bigger show with three acts. bumbershoot.org/lineup has the breakdown.

please, please do not schedule bob dylan and ozomatli or jamie lidell at the same time! that will ruin the festival. the world might actually explode from that much good music at the same time…

Rise Against is the only band that can rock the mainstage considering the arena and vastness/sound/vibe of it.
The other stages are going to crush the mainstage this year. By far.

Great lineup for Bumbershoot! I can’t wait. Any clues as to who the “one more very special guest” is?

I am glad you guys offered the cheaper economy passes this year. To be honest, if you hadn’t I would have skipped Bumbershoot for the first time in five years. I think other people will appreciate the choice too.

Question: Last year you could buy a regular pass, not gold or platinum for all three days of bumbershoot for eighty dollars. Do you have to buy three separate tickets this year?

Mary J. Blige and Hole??? Fortunately Bob Dylan and some other decent musicians will be there to make up for that tragic decision.
MJB is no doubt talented…. but not really Bumbershoot and I don’t feel that I need to comment on Hole or say anything that everyone isn’t already thinking.

@Ichi/Erin Yes, you will have to buy three separate tickets this year, because you’ll (most likely) be deciding between a Standard or Economy admission ticket each day. For those who always go to the Mainstage year after year, we offered our Insider Deal with a 3-day pass, including guaranteed Mainstage, and that’s the only 3-day we’ll be offering. Become a BumberFan to get the inside track on next year’s deal.

This is the worst Bumbershoot lineup I’ve ever seen. Rise Against? Hole? Really? And for 40 dollars? I have always only had positive things to say about Bumbershoot. But this lineup is a complete disappointment to me. Bob Dylan, Atlas Sound, and the Japandroids are cool, but definitely not worth 40 bucks a day. No thanks One Reel, but good luck with this years festival.
